Nothing leaves your PC without your say-so

Lumenet shows you what each app tries to reach and lets you allow or block it. Your rules and activity history stay on your machine; the account service only handles sign-in, seats, and entitlement.

Common questions

What data leaves my PC?

Your firewall rules, activity history, and enforcement state stay on your PC unless you export them. The account service receives only what it needs for sign-in and plan enforcement: email, authentication metadata, device names you provide during activation, and subscription or seat status. It does not receive your connection log or per-app traffic details.

Do I need an account?

Yes. Full desktop features require account activation. Sign in from the app to link your device to your account; seat limits apply per your subscription. The account handles sign-in, seats, and entitlement — not your network activity.

Does Lumenet work offline?

Rules, activity history, and enforcement state are stored locally, so day-to-day allow and block decisions continue without sending your log to the cloud. Signing in, activating a new device, and refreshing entitlement require a network connection to the account service. If you are offline past the entitlement grace window, enforcement may pause until the app can verify your subscription again.

Will Lumenet slow down my PC or my network?

Inspecting and filtering outbound connections adds some overhead — that is inherent to any firewall-style tool. Lumenet is designed to keep work on your machine: there is no constant upload of activity data for analytics, and enforcement does not depend on a round trip for every packet. Actual impact depends on your hardware and how many apps are active; we do not publish benchmark claims here.
